Multilingual Media Specialist

Overview

The Office of Public Information (OPI) carries out the event planning and media engagement (including social media) for the Bahá’í World Centre.

The Multilingual Media Specialist works as part of the OPI team, under the management of a unit head.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to media requests
  • Supporting event planning
  • Researching and tracking the media landscape
  • Creating, translating, and producing media content

Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with media and the general public
  • Strong organizational qualities, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and keep records
  • Ability to consult and cooperate with others towards the overall goals of the team
  • Ability to execute given tasks to completion in a timely manner

Skill Requirements

  • Verbal and written proficiency in English, Hebrew, and Arabic
  • Experience in social media content creation, editing, tracking and design
  • Ability to work with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Willingness to learn and further develop capacities

Other:

  • The role is part desk-based (in Haifa) and part field-based at events and visits hosted by the World Centre
